Let's Re: Think the Nation!
The Federal government has committed to holding a national referendum on Constitutional Recognition for Australia's First Peoples - they've set up an Expert Panel who are travelling Australia to hear submissions and opinions from as many Australians as possible, to inform the Government's decisions on the Referendum. ANTaR Victoria is determined to work within Australian communities to bring about a positive outcome.
This year's National Reconciliation Week had the theme 'Let's Talk Recognition', and ANTaR is launching a campaign to raise awareness in communities for reconciliation and constitutional recogntion - Let's Re: Think the Nation.
Dr Peter Lewis (President of ANTaR National and chair of ANTaR Victoria), issued a statement on Australia Day, emphasising the opportunity the proposed referendum presents: Australia Day an opportunity to start rethinking the nation
