Note: Sometimes representatives of traditional owners agree to respond to such acknowledgements often their response will take the form of some sort of welcome.

 

In these circumstances, it may be important for the MC and the person acknowledging country to be conscious of avoiding using the word welcome in their introductory comments and acknowledgement, leaving the welcoming task to the person responding to the acknowledgment on behalf of the traditional owners.
