Fanning the Flames projects

Below is a list of the various streams of work undertaken during the life of Fanning the Flames. Some of these have pages linked to them that give a glimpse of the impact of the FTF project.

The independent evaluators for the project (Borderlands Coop) have used the four categories below to define the four main areas of the work of FtF. They did this to assist in assessing the sustainability of the work.

  • Initiating work (projects that FtF staff initiated within the FtF funded period)
  • Collaborative work (projects that involve FtF staff working with members of other agencies who may have taken initial initiative in driving a project)
  • Resourcing work (effects of FtF on activities of autonomous agencies & government bodies in terms of community education and action around Indigenous issues)
  • Coordinating and sustaining work (infrastructural work, which enables the previous modes of work to happen and to continue to happen).
